You may have heard about some of the extensive damages to roads in Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties caused by the storms this spring. Highway 1 is currently closed in two areas where the Central Coast Double rides through, however, they are scheduled to re-open on May 1, 2017. These openings will be before the CCD ride and no re-routing is needed. In the event the roads do not open, which had happened twice in the past, we will proceed with the ride and post the alternate route. The alternate route in the past have been successful and enjoyable to our riders.
We're working closely with the Public Works departments of both counties to provide all riders with safe and enjoyable rides. We will keep you posted regarding developments. We look forward to seeing you Saturday, May 13th, at the 23rd annual Central Coast Double Century ride. To register, click here.
